Domain name
What is a domain?
A domain name is a unique website address on the internet (e.g. arduralab.pl). It consists of a name (arduralab) and an extension (.pl, .com, .eu). It is your "address" on the web — it allows users and search engines to find you.
Types of domains
TLD (Top-Level Domain) — the extension: .pl (Poland), .com (international), .eu (Europe). Subdomain — a prefix: blog.company.com. Country-code domain — ccTLD like .pl, .de, .uk — a geographic signal for Google.
Domain and SEO
Domain age, history, and trust influence rankings. A country-code extension (.pl) helps with local SEO. Choose short, easy-to-remember names. Avoid domains with hyphens and numbers — they reduce user trust.
