Long-Tail Keyword
What are long-tail keywords?
Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific search queries — typically 3 to 5 words. For example, "SEO" is a short-tail keyword, while "how much does SEO cost for a small business" is a long-tail keyword.
Why are long-tail keywords important?
They account for approximately 70% of all Google searches. They have lower competition, higher conversion rates, and more precise intent. A user searching for "SEO agency New York pricing" is closer to making a purchase than someone searching for "SEO."
How to find long-tail keywords?
Use Google Autocomplete, People Also Ask, and tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, and Ubersuggest. Analyze Search Console — you will find keywords your site already appears for. Create content that answers specific user questions.
