PageSpeed
What is PageSpeed?
PageSpeed is a general term for the loading speed of a web page. Google PageSpeed Insights is a tool that measures page performance and assigns a score from 0 to 100 based on Core Web Vitals and other metrics.
Why is speed important?
53% of mobile users leave a page if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load. Google factors speed into its ranking — slow pages lose positions. Every second of delay results in approximately a 7% drop in conversions.
How to improve PageSpeed?
Optimize images (WebP, lazy loading, proper sizing). Minimize CSS and JavaScript. Use a CDN and caching. Choose fast hosting. Consider static site generation (SSG) — pre-rendered pages load instantly.
